About Hostander

Engineers running infrastructure for engineers.

Hostander was founded in 2024, but our team has been designing, racking and operating European hosting infrastructure since 2008. We launched the brand we always wished existed: senior engineers, real ownership, no nonsense, and none of the legacy baggage of older providers.

Our story

A new brand, built on 16+ years of experience.

Our founders started in the European hosting industry back in 2008, racking the first servers, configuring the first switches and answering the first 3 a.m. tickets themselves. Over the next decade and a half, they helped build carrier networks and run managed services for thousands of customers across the EU.

In 2024, that same team launched Hostander. We took everything we'd learned, what works, what frustrates customers, what older providers refuse to fix, and built a brand around it. No legacy systems. No outsourced support. No upsell tricks. Just modern managed hosting, run by the people who've been doing this for 16+ years.

Today our hardware lives in two Tier III data centers (Tallinn and Amsterdam), connected by our own private backbone, and is operated by a 24/7 NOC staffed entirely by senior Linux, Windows and network engineers. The engineer answering your ticket today might be the same one racking your hardware tomorrow, and they've probably been doing both since before the cloud was cool.

Principles

What we believe.

  • Senior engineers, not scripts.
Every ticket is read and answered by an engineer with at least 5 years of production experience.
  • Own the stack we control.
We own our hardware, our ASN, our IP space and our private backbone. We don't own the data centers, but we do own everything inside our racks, no middlemen between us and your uptime.
  • Communicate honestly.
Public status pages, transparent post-mortems and direct escalation paths. No theater.
  • Long-term over fast.
We'd rather lose a deal than over-promise a SLA. Our customers stay for a decade because of it.
  • European, by choice.
EU-owned, EU-staffed, EU-hosted. We are deliberately independent of US hyperscalers and outside US legal jurisdiction, because data sovereignty matters.
  • Neutral and non-aligned.
We don't take sides in geopolitics or vendor wars. Your data is yours, full stop, and we will never share it with anyone you haven't explicitly authorised.

FAQ

Questions about working with us.

If Hostander launched in 2024, how can you claim 16+ years of experience?

Hostander is a new brand, but the founding team has been building and running European hosting infrastructure since 2008. The company is young, the engineers behind it aren't.

Do you outsource any part of your support?

No. Every ticket, call and chat is answered by Hostander engineers we've hired and trained ourselves. There are no first-line scripts and no overnight call centers.

Are you GDPR compliant?

Yes. We are an EU-headquartered company, our infrastructure is hosted exclusively in the EU (Tallinn and Amsterdam), our staff is based in the EU, and we sign DPAs with all customers on request. All sub-processors are EU-only.

Are you affected by the US CLOUD Act?

No. Hostander has no US parent, no US subsidiary and no US operations. We are not a covered provider under the CLOUD Act and cannot be lawfully compelled to disclose customer data to American authorities.

Do you use any American cloud underneath (AWS, Google, Azure)?

No. We own our hardware and our network end-to-end and host it in independent European Tier III data centers. There is no US hyperscaler in the path between you and your data, true digital sovereignty.

Can I visit the data centers your servers are in?

Yes. Both Tallinn and Amsterdam allow scheduled customer visits, coordinated by us. Just give us a few business days' notice and bring ID.

What's your typical customer profile?

SaaS companies, e-commerce stores, agencies hosting client sites, fintech and developers who want senior engineering hands without hiring an in-house infrastructure team.

Want to work with us?

Let's talk about your infrastructure, no sales pitch, just engineers.
